Jonathan Sebbane is stepping down as CEO of Sogaris, France’s leading urban logistics property operator, to take the presidency of the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB).

Ten Years at Sogaris

Sebbane has led Sogaris since 2015. Over that decade, the company says the value of its real-estate portfolio tripled and revenue doubled, placing the foncière firmly in the Top 3 of logistics property players inside the Greater Paris area. His departure becomes effective at the close of a board meeting on Thursday. Sogaris’s shareholders will subsequently appoint new directors representing the City of Paris and the Métropole du Grand Paris, elect a new board chair and then name a successor as CEO.

From Urban Logistics to Building Research

The appointment to CSTB was put forward by Vincent Jeanbrun, France’s Minister for Cities and Housing. The agency is the national reference body for building research, testing and certification, sitting at the heart of regulatory and innovation policy for the construction sector.

Before joining Sogaris, Sebbane spent five years at the Île-de-France regional council, including roles as technical adviser on transport and mobility and chief of staff. An alumnus of the École Polytechnique and the École des Ponts et Chaussées, he began his career at the urban planning division of France’s environment ministry. The move signals continuity between his logistics-real-estate track record and the broader urban-development brief at CSTB.
