FM Logistic has named Hamza Harti as Transport Director for France, effective 1 September. He succeeds Marie-Laure Lafaille, who retires in early 2027, and joins the 3PL’s France management committee. His brief is to run and grow the group’s transport activity in the country while feeding into its Powering 2030 plan.
A path from the warehouse floor to Vietnam
Harti is a graduate of Polytechnique and Ensae Paris. He joined FM Logistic in early 2013 after starting his career in trading at Credit Agricole Cheuvreux, now Kepler Cheuvreux. From there he moved through a string of roles at the Longueil-Sainte-Marie site in the Oise: project manager, operations, client relations, then business unit director. A group assignment later took him to Vietnam, where he launched a new contract with Auchan before taking over the country as managing director of FM Vietnam. That subsidiary now counts 500 staff and more than EUR14M in revenue this year.
Transport as a growth lever
Francois Regnier, managing director of FM Logistic France, pointed to Harti’s deep knowledge of the group and his operational and strategic grasp of transport as reasons for the appointment. Harti, for his part, tied transport performance to two things: getting teams to pull in the same direction, and accelerating the decarbonisation of flows. How quickly that second goal advances will be worth watching under his tenure.
