Olivier Storch has taken over as CEO of Groupe Sterne, the French premium transport and logistics operator, stepping into the role in early June 2026. He moves from Ceva Logistics, where he spent around three years as deputy CEO, first on transformation and then on sales and strategy. He is set to succeed Laurent de Rosnay, who joined the group in early 2020.
A Group Built Through Acquisition
Tikehau Capital took a 70% majority stake in Sterne at the end of 2021. A few months later, the February 2022 purchase of German night-delivery specialist Nox NachtExpress roughly doubled the company’s size and lifted it to European scale. Sterne now employs more than 2,000 people across some 80 branches in France, the Benelux and German-speaking markets, with revenue of around €560M.
A Finance and Logistics Track Record
Storch’s career spans public finance and freight. He worked as a finance inspector across several ministries, including transport, before joining the SNCF group in finance at the end of 2006. At Geodis he moved into commercial roles covering Asia-Pacific, then returned to the parent company as CFO. Five years followed at La Poste’s DPD branch on international markets, and then Ceva in late 2022.
Where He Wants to Take It
Sterne runs mostly at night, moving spare parts and healthcare products for more than 6,000 clients. The group acts as carrier, freight forwarder including customs, air freight forwarder and mail-solutions provider. Storch says he wants to build on the group’s Time Critical delivery brand and push further into value-added services, pointing to the circular economy as a growth avenue.
Whether organic growth alone can match the pace set by the Nox deal is the test he now inherits.
