French transport and logistics provider Nagrup is building a new headquarters and logistics base south of Toulouse, on a site developed by GSE at Muret. Ground was broken last week on the 2.5-hectare plot in the Bonnets activity zone, with delivery scheduled for December.

Inside the new site

Designed by Apside Architecture, the building will offer more than 6,000 sqm of storage and capacity for over 8,000 pallets. Two temperature-controlled rooms, one chilled and one frozen, will handle food and pharmaceutical goods. A further 1,000 sqm of offices will eventually house around 40 Nagrup employees. A land reserve on the plot leaves room for a later extension of more than 2,400 sqm.

A cross-border operator

Nagrup traces its roots to a transport business launched in the 1970s running goods from Spain into Andorra. It has since expanded on both sides of the Pyrenees and diversified across five units: its Andorra service, transport, overseas, customs, and a logistics and e-commerce arm. The Muret base is meant to bring all of that closer to customers in southwest France, as well as in Andorra and Spain, thanks to its road links.

The company frames the project as a step toward positioning itself as a full-service supply chain operator in France. Whether the extra capacity translates into new contracts will be the thing to watch once the doors open.
