One year after acquiring Walmart’s robotics division (Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics), American company Symbotic has announced the acquisition of Texas-based AGV manufacturer Fox Robotics.
Expanding Market Reach
By acquiring this entity founded in 2018 that currently has around twenty customers including Walmart and DHL, Symbotic enriches its portfolio with the capability to work with more SMEs and mid-sized companies. Specialized in automation technologies, the company primarily equips large accounts with its AI-powered robotic and software solutions.
End-to-End Distribution Center Automation
“This acquisition strengthens its ability to automate distribution centers by enabling it to manage inbound and outbound goods operations in addition to its existing palletizing and AS/RS automated storage solutions,” notes Rueben Scriven from market research firm Interact Analysis.
