Toy manufacturer Hasbro has inaugurated a new distribution center of just over 55,500 sqm in Midway, Georgia. Leased for ten years from real estate investor Peachtree Group, this first US site developed for the company—with its brand on the façade—will be operated by GXO Logistics and handle approximately 25% of its retail and e-commerce distribution flows in the United States.

Network Consolidation

With this capacity, Hasbro can reduce the number of its outsourced distribution platforms in the country from five to three. The two other facilities the manufacturer relies on in the US are located in Chino (California) and Joliet (Illinois).

Meeting Customer Expectations

“Our new facility will allow us to meet the expectations of our retail partners and direct end customers in terms of speed, quality, and efficiency,” says Stephanie Beal, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Hasbro.

AI-Powered Operations

The site will employ up to 70 full-time staff and its management will be optimized via GXO IQ, the AI-powered platform launched last year by GXO Logistics.
