Less than a year after securing €200M in financing for external growth, Dimotrans Group has announced acquiring 78% of Spanish transport and logistics group Moldtrans.

Positioned like Dimotrans in contract logistics, overseas, and overland, Moldtrans employs 700 people, generates annual revenue of over €150M, and operates 24 warehouses totaling over 110,000 sqm in mainland Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands.

Created by Marcelino Moldes in 1979 near Barcelona, Moldtrans processes over 900,000 annual shipments for 13,000 clients (Garmin, AkzoNobel, MisterWils, etc.).

“This acquisition is a decisive step in our development, reinforcing our European presence while staying true to our DNA as an independent global supply chain player,” states Laurent Parat, CEO of Dimotrans Group, which now unites 3,000 employees with combined revenues approaching €1B.

The deal follows a broader consolidation trend. Ovrsea’s merger with Fatton Lyseo similarly combined digital and traditional forwarding capabilities to build a €400M+ entity.
