Finnish vendor Relex Solutions has launched the new Deal Management functionality within its unified end-to-end SC & retail planning platform. The objective is to offer retailers a centralized, shared workspace for planning and collaboration with suppliers to manage strategic pricing and promotion planning, campaign execution, and post-event analysis.

“Retailers invest heavily in promotions, but much of this value is lost because funding decisions, performance information, and supplier negotiations happen in different places,” notes Mikko Kärkkäinen, CEO of Relex Solutions. According to Relex, about 70% of retailer promotions are directly funded by suppliers, hence the need for clearer, better-planned, consumer-centered promotions based on shared data.
