ID Logistics has officially inaugurated a new automated logistics platform for Puma at Vendenheim, near Strasbourg, the latest step in a partnership between the third-party logistics provider and the sportswear brand that dates back to 2016. The site, inaugurated on 21 October 2026, handles Puma’s business-to-business operations in France and has been running since late 2025, when activity transferred from an older warehouse nearby.
An AutoStore-centred automated platform
Spread across four cells, the roughly 41,000 sqm facility is built around an AutoStore system with about 70,000 bins and close to 100 robots, served by 15 picking stations and 12 product-induction stations. ID Logistics says the installation can be expanded beyond 85,000 bins by 2030. Goods-inward areas are equipped with telescopic truck-unloading conveyors, Cubiscan dimensioning and automated carton-forming and carton-closing machines. Operations run on the Reflex warehouse management system from Hardis Group, interfaced with Puma’s SAP ERP. The platform is designed to handle up to 57,000 order-preparation lines per day, with priority orders processed in under four hours.
Six more years with Puma
The Vendenheim platform replaces an older, smaller warehouse at Landersheim, nearby, that ID Logistics had operated for Puma in France since 2016. The two companies have renewed their partnership for a further six years. About 100 people work at the site, rising to roughly 150 during seasonal peaks. The building is certified BREEAM Excellent and features rooftop solar panels for self-consumption, LED lighting and electric-vehicle charging points. The project was first announced in September 2025.
