Italian household-care group Sodalis, best known in France for its eco-label cleaning brand L’Arbre Vert, has chosen Mutual Logistics as its new French logistics partner, joining the 3PL’s network of pooled distribution centres. Following a competitive tender, Sodalis France’s logistics activities are now run from Mutual Logistics’ shared site in Poupry, in the Eure-et-Loir department, a 30,000 sqm warehouse positioned to serve French mass-market retail.

A Pooled-Logistics Model for FMCG

Marco Petrelli, president of Sodalis France, said the brand was looking for a partner combining operational excellence, flexibility and a measurable reduction in environmental impact. The shared logistics model proposed by Mutual Logistics, paired with the operator’s track record in fast-moving consumer goods, tipped the decision in its favour. The company sees the partnership as a structural step to support the continued growth of L’Arbre Vert across the French market.

Full-Service Scope at Poupry

The Poupry centre handles the full operational scope for Sodalis France, covering storage, order preparation, copacking and pooled deliveries to the regional platforms of French retailers. Vincent Denis, president of Mutual Logistics, framed the pooled model as a virtuous setup that delivers both economic and environmental value, lifting productivity while compressing the carbon footprint across the consumer-goods supply chain.

Three Shared Distribution Hubs Cover France

The Poupry hub anchors a national footprint that also includes an 18,000 sqm shared centre in Bollène (Vaucluse) and a 31,000 sqm facility in Amanlis, near Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). The Amanlis site was recently inaugurated and was built by general contractor GSE. With three pooled distribution hubs now in operation, Mutual Logistics says it covers a large share of the French territory for FMCG shippers seeking shared infrastructure rather than dedicated warehousing.

The contract continues a steady migration of mid-sized European consumer-brand owners toward shared 3PL platforms, where pooled volumes ease pressure on transport rates and provide a faster route to lower-emission distribution flows than dedicated alternatives.
