Six months after entrusting its e-commerce, retail, and B2B logistics operations to XPO Logistics, British kitchenware brand Joseph Joseph has chosen to also outsource its international freight operations between China and the United Kingdom to the logistics provider.
End-to-end freight management
Under this contract extension, XPO will manage order processing, supplier contacts, international transport, and delivery to Joseph Joseph’s e-commerce fulfillment center in Rugby, located between Coventry and Northampton in the UK.
According to XPO Logistics, its proprietary technology solutions — particularly its Global Forwarding portal — will provide Joseph Joseph with end-to-end visibility, from order creation through to final customer delivery. The portal connects every stage in real time: orders, purchase orders, container movements, customs milestones, arrivals, and final distribution. Additionally, AI-powered capabilities are accelerating certain processes, such as data validation before goods departure.
A natural partnership extension
“Extending our partnership to include our international transit needs was an obvious decision,” says Sacha Vaughan, Supply Chain Director at Joseph Joseph. “The dedicated account management team we work with at our partner is also composed of experts in their field.”
