A partner of the aircraft manufacturer for nearly 20 years, DHL Supply Chain has renewed its 4PL transport contract with Airbus to manage and orchestrate its global logistics flows. The scope of intervention has even been extended.

Comprehensive Transport Management

Initiated in 2008, this partnership now covers air, sea, road, and parcel transport, as well as a 24/7 service dedicated to critical Aircraft on Ground (AOG) operations for rapid parts supply. The provider will continue to manage carrier contracts, ensure quality control, lead transport tenders, and process claims on behalf of Airbus.

Two Control Towers, 350,000 Shipments

Through two Lead Transport Partnership (LTP) control towers established for this client, DHL Supply Chain now manages nearly 350,000 shipments annually for around twenty sites worldwide, operating from Airbus’s expertise centers located in Toulouse, France, and Valencia, Spain.

End-to-End Flow Coordination

Services include coordination of inbound flows (suppliers to factories), inter-plant flows (Europe, United States, China), and outbound flows (spare parts, supplier returns).

“This contract renewal illustrates our ability to provide customized, scalable logistics solutions perfectly aligned with our client’s growth, while accelerating the digitalization of their Supply Chain,” says Nico Schuetz, CEO of DHL Supply Chain France. “Through technological innovation, continuous process improvement, and the mobilization of all our experts, we contribute to enhancing visibility and reducing execution times.”
