Key player in pharmacy medication supply, pharmaceutical distributor CERP is constructing a state-of-the-art logistics center in Wissous, south of Paris, designed to replace its existing Le Plessis-Robinson site within two years. Building construction began at year-end, with delivery planned for October and a second phase extending to late 2027 given the extensive custom automation designed by SSI Schäfer to manage approximately 30,000 SKUs.
The installation’s core will feature a shuttle storage system with over 90,000 positions, feeding two SSI Piece Picking robots and three Advanced Pick Stations. Certain references will use an A-Frame system specific to pharmaceuticals for goods-to-man handling of high-rotation small boxes, with over 2,900 channels. A push sorter ensures smooth shipment processing. The entire system will be controlled by Wamas WCS to coordinate all processes for optimized preparation and dispatch to partner pharmacies.
