After nearly 25 years at Bavarian industrial robotics giant KUKA, Jean-Luc Imhof joined Scallog in early December as Chief Executive Officer.

For the French robotics logistics specialist—known for its AMR-based solution with mobile shelving—this experienced hire supports renewed ambitions to grow in France and, even more, internationally, while also strengthening operational excellence.

Under his leadership, a transformation plan is being launched to clarify the company’s value proposition and structure its trajectory by placing customers and the evolution of their use cases at the heart of strategic decisions and organization.

Notably, the CEO role had disappeared from Scallog’s org chart following the late-2023 departure into pre-retirement of Pierre-Yves Minarro, who had taken the helm of the start-up alongside founder and President Olivier Rochet shortly after its creation in 2013. Rochet then resumed an operational role with the support of a Sales Director.

Jean-Luc Imhof will return Scallog to a more integrated general management/commercial approach. He will lead the executive committee and report to Olivier Rochet.

“Scallog brings together three essential pillars in my view: a disruptive logistics technology, strong ambitions for growth in an international environment, and a French solution capable of competing with global standards,” comments Jean-Luc Imhof.

Its goods-to-person robotics solution—scalable, quick to deploy, and easy to use—remains a strong asset for e-commerce picking needs, warehouse densification, and overall performance and agility.

Priority growth initiatives include international expansion through new partnerships, notably to consolidate momentum in North America, and a focus on high-potential sectors: e-commerce, of course, but also industry, defense, spare parts, and more.

At 58, the CentraleSupélec graduate has built his entire career in industrial automation, starting at Actemium and then at KUKA, which he joined in late 2000 as a project manager before progressing from Customer Service leadership to general management, and later serving as CEO for France, Benelux, and Maghreb for eight years.
