French digital freight forwarder Ovrsea—which operates a platform for managing international freight transport (sea, air, road, rail)—has merged with Lyon-based group Fatton, which specializes in freight forwarding under the brand Lyseo. This creates an entity combining 350 employees and generating revenue exceeding €400M.
Founded in 2017, Ovrsea develops a SaaS digital platform capable of searching and comparing freight prices in real time, managing transport, tracking shipments, and providing visibility on freight flows. Clients include L’Oréal, Siemens, and Thales.
“Through this merger, we are creating a major global player able to work with multinationals as well as medium-sized companies,” states Arthur Barillas, CEO and co-founder of Ovrsea.
The deal follows a trend of digital-traditional combinations in freight forwarding. Dimotrans recently acquired Moldtrans in a similar move to build scale across European markets.
