Swedish software vendor IFS, specializing in ERP and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions, has reached an agreement to acquire Softeon, which develops WMS, WES, and DOM solutions. Based near Washington, Softeon counts logistics providers DB Schenker and Ceva Logistics among its clients. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 and will enable IFS to offer an integrated platform combining industrial operations and Supply Chain Execution processes.

“Facing supply chain modernization challenges, aging infrastructure, and labor shortages, the synergy between production and distribution is becoming a major issue,” states IFS. Enhanced by IFS’s agentic AI offering and partnerships with robotics players including Boston Dynamics and 1X Technologies, Softeon’s cloud-native platform will enable global process orchestration. “With Softeon, we are redefining warehouse performance standards with measurable impact on capacity, accuracy, and flow,” says Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS.
