Lur Berri, a leading agricultural cooperative in the French Basque Country, has embarked on a transport management transformation built on the Generix DDS TMS solution. Bringing together some 5,100 farmers from several departments in southwestern France, the cooperative operates across numerous segments through its Agriculture division (crop and livestock branches) and its Distribution division, which encompasses more than fifteen stores under the Gamm vert and Mr Bricolage banners and also manages fuel supplies.
Cross-functional transport management
Given its multiple and highly diverse flows, Lur Berri is implementing cross-functional transport management aimed at rationalizing operations and unifying processes through the TMS, selected following a market consultation. By centralizing this oversight, the objective is to optimize transport costs and improve service to members while boosting team productivity.
Generix DDS TMS provides the cooperative with functional coverage tailored to its various planning, execution, and cost management challenges, along with enhanced operational visibility.
A collaborative deployment
“We chose it for its ability to support our logistics in a cross-functional manner. By providing both a global overview and more precise management of our flows and operations, this TMS strengthens our capacity for optimization and responsiveness in serving our farmers,” says Caroline Roussy, Director of the Performance & Innovation Division at Lur Berri.
Co-developed with Generix teams, with particular attention to flow complexity and strong seasonality, the project aims for a return on investment “visible within the next two fiscal years.” The collaboration could also extend to other solutions in the publisher’s portfolio.
