Cholet-based transport, logistics, and training company Ageneau Group has selected Generix WMS in SaaS mode for complete management of its warehousing operations, along with TradeXpress, Generix’s B2B data integration software for inter and intra-company exchanges, to automate customer data flows.

First Implementation at Trélazé

The first implementation, scheduled for June this year, concerns the Trélazé site near Angers, inaugurated in February 2025. The facility features 9,000 sqm of enclosed space, a 4,000 sqm racked canopy area, and approximately 4,000 sqm of outdoor space equipped with cantilever racks. The warehouse also operates three wire-guided forklifts in narrow aisles.

“These wire-guided forklifts have changed how we operate in the warehouse, and the current WMS is no longer able to manage this, particularly the optimization of empty trips for these machines through triangulation,” explains Arnaud Ageneau, co-director responsible for processes, purchasing, and IT at Ageneau Group.

Collaborative Selection Process

This was one of the factors that accelerated the drafting of specifications and the search for a new WMS solution, in which all warehouse staff participated—forklift operators and order pickers alike. The final selection between Generix WMS and Hardis WMS on the shortlist was decided by collective vote.

Rollout Plan

Beyond the Trélazé site, the agreement with Generix provides for WMS deployment by year-end across four other Ageneau Group warehouses in Cholet (3,000 sqm), Nantes (2,000 sqm), Spay, and Tillières, as well as at a subcontracted warehouse site in Chaillé-les-Marais, Vendée.
