British potato producer and distributor Albert Bartlett has recently decided to increase storage capacity at its Westwick site on the East Coast of England (approximately 30 km from Norwich). The existing building will be partially demolished to construct a new warehouse dedicated to frozen product storage at -20°C, reaching over 30 meters in height. Built by Alheembouw NV, the facility will feature Movu Robotics’ (Stow Group) Atlas shuttle storage system.
With this high-density automated storage solution to be integrated by Belgian company Ceratec, the new installation will total approximately 4,000 pallet positions. “This project represents a significant milestone in our expansion in the UK and demonstrates our commitment to providing advanced automation solutions that meet the most stringent storage requirements,” states Movu Robotics.
